Janet T. Planet partnered with Richard Branson’s founding team to design a radically different kind of cruise experience — one built from scratch for adults, and driven by delight, discovery, and design. At the time, she was Head of Ideas at Fahrenheit 212, where she led all aspects of the Virgin Voyages on-board experience strategy and creative, from early vision to briefing for execution.

Working closely with internal teams and creative partners across food & beverage, digital, entertainment, and environmental design, Janet helped craft the emotional arc of the guest journey — designing for connection, spontaneity, and moments that feel both intimate and unforgettable.

Virgin Voyages has since launched three ships, with a fourth debuting in late 2025. The brand has become an industry standout, winning Cruise Critic’s “Best New Cruise Line” in 2022 and sweeping every major award in 2023 — a first in cruise history.
